Hair for Hope 2007 is happening on 1 July 2007 (Sunday) at Velocity@Novena Square.

Objectives

Hair for Hope is an event which invites members of the public to shave their heads to show their support for children with cancer. Through this symbolic gesture, we aim to:

• Tell every child with cancer and their their families that they are not alone in the fight
  
• Help raise funds for Children’s Cancer Foundation through monetary pledges, to aid the Foundation in improving the quality of lives of our children and their families.
• Create awareness of childhood cancer in Singapore.
  

Why Shave Heads?

Patients’ hair loss, from treatments of cancer such as chemotherapy, is a representation of his or her courageous fight against cancer. Through the symbolic gesture of shaving our heads, we hope to lend moral support to all children with cancer, and to let them know that there is nothing wrong with being bald.
