Surprise surprise it's Jin Yang the smartface who comes out tops after the weekend's soccer action! Clean sheets really do help huh, GK, Paul Scholes, Rio Ferdinand all got points. Haha we can all see Jin Yang on Skysports in the future, being the leading pundit under the name of Brudda Paijan or something...

Following close behind is Kai Jun and his 100 Million Pound Team! Well basically he just got 2 more points scored from Obafemi Martins. Julian the Master Strategist also brings his academic dominance into fantasy soccer, racking up 33 points.

Just 3 points separate the mid-table teams. Tough fight, but really, 1 point is all it takes to oust the next from a higher position.

And the bottom 4 are Jon's, Qi Jian's, Sua Yu's and KOK's team. Now we can understand that Jon, Qi Jian and Sua Yu may have made some wrong selections this time round, but we just CANNOT close one eye when it comes to Fabregas on the bench. :D sorry kok.

Alright that's all for today. After some midweek Champs League and UEFA cup games, prepare for the Teacher's Day soccer bonanzaorsomethingdunnowhatchamacallit.

25/8/07 results!

Kai Jun takes the lead with 33 points, a whopping 4 points from the next contender, Hugo Wee Bo Hao! As 4 defenders and midfielders were from either Chelsea or Liverpool, the clean sheets that they kept gave Kai Jun's team a great advantage. Sissoko also scored his first goal in a Liverpool jersey, securing 6 points. I also spied an Antoine Sibierski in his team...dunno why...trying to copy some yalam...

Following the leader are Bohao and Victor, with 29 and 28 points respectively. Lots of Arsenal and Liverpool players in their teams, and to good effect!

Next up we have Jon's dvd drives, Zhen Yang's Runescape Roxs and Eugene's Kop King Athletic. Few points were garnered for goals, but lots for 1st team appearances.

Mid-table teams are Qijian's Rottenham Prosper and Joe's Chelski CCCP FC.

Lokky floats above the relegation zone with 21 points. Not many 1st team appearances for his team selection.

And for the relegation stragglers, we have some tikam crap, smartface_jy and some random kok. So much for joining early haha. Let's all wonder why kok chose to put Fabregas on the bench, when he single-handedly reaped 8 points. Hmm...

Been eons since I last posted...

Okay one month to promos and we're still playing fantasy soccer. Right.

Anyway, as of right now Yufeng's team is top of the table with 71 points! BUT, it is UNFAIR cos he had a week's headstart of 41 points. So, as of 25/8/07, points will be reset! And since it'll not be reflected on the soccernet page itself, I'll be posting the results here, after subtracting away the current points.

And Manager of the Month will be decided from 25/8/07 onwards. Hope you guys are fine with that. Since some pple joined late.

3 things we learnt:

1.) How to roll a proper sushi
2.) How to roll a presentable handroll
3.) Sushis come in different shapes and forms, and taste nice when a lot of fish roe is added
